Bruxelles ground floor bar has the feel of a traditional Dublin pub with a relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and very reasonably priced drinks for the Grafton Street area. The upstairs bar features Dublin blues bands during the week or a selection of contemporary and classic rock & roll. Bruxelles opens till 1.30am during the week and 2.30am during the weekend, which makes it a very popular bar in the city centre. So get there early on a weekend night to get yourself a seat.

The Ha'penny Bridge
ha'penny bridge
Dublin's oldest pedestrian crossing over the river Liffey. It was erected in 1816 as the Wellington bridge and it aquired it's better known nickname from the halfpenny toll levied on all users of the bridge up until 1919. It is one of the earliest cast-iron structures of its kind.

Philip was filmed on the bridge for the OLD TOWN video.

Grafton Street
Philip's favourite street! He used to love strutting down Grafton Street and catching the admiring glances of many a female! It is the main shopping street in Dublin but much more than that. Long before the street was pedestrianised in the 1970's, Noel Purcell sang "Grafton street's a wonderland with magic in the air....."

The Roman Catholic Church of the Assumption
This is in Howth and its where Philip's funeral service was held. Howth is an historic fishing village, situated on the peninsula on the Irish sea and is well worth a visit. A lot of Philip's old haunts, such as baily Court (one of Lizzy's first rehersal rooms), The Cock Tavern and The Lighthouse are all located here.....all of of which happen to be pubs !
